Floor Plans and Specifications
The basic ReadyShelter utilizes compressed agricultural fiber such as wheat or rice straw board for all interior and exterior walls and the ceiling/roof. The strawboard panels are nominally 2" thick, 4' in width and cut to length (8' to 16'). The ReadyShelter walls (interior and exterior) and ceiling/roof are of single panel thickness (2").
Additional thermal insulation can be achieved using fiberglass insulation (R-13, R-19 or R-30) or foil radiant barrier insulation with space provided by the attachment of various sized 'hat channels' to both the exterior walls and roof.
The structure of the ReadyShelter is site assembled. The assembly consists of inserting the various 4’ wide straw board panels into both light gauge "C" and "I" steel channels for the interior and exterior wall sub-assemblies in 4' bays until the entire interior and exterior wall sections are complete.
The ReadyShelter can be erected on any foundation system including concrete or block piers, concrete pad, asphalt and rapid runway repair tracking material. The ReadyShelter may also be installed on other similar flat surface foundations of asphalt, rapid runway repair tracking material or equivalent. The ReadyShelter can also be installed on an elevated wood or steel floor joist system which is supported by circular concrete pillars of appropriate size, specifications and quantity.

• Pre-wired & Plumbed for Range, Refrigerator, Washer, Dryer and Microwave
• Complete Plumbing System (Supply & Drain Lines, Bathroom & Kitchen Fixtures, Shower, Water Heater, Lavatory, Sinks)
• Complete Mechanical System (Bathroom Exhaust Fan, Thru-Wall Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning Units in Each Room)
• Complete Interior Finish Package (Cabinets, Interior Wood Doors, Exterior Metal Doors, Lock & Key Sets, Windows, Countertops)
The ReadyShelter offers an Optional Furniture Package that includes sofa(s), chair(s), lamps, side tables, kitchen table and chairs, dressers and mirrors.
