  • The ReadyShelter panels manufactured from compressed agricultural fiber such as wheat or rice straw, making it environmentally friendly to produce and completely biodegradable after disposal.
  • The ReadyShelter contains no formaldehyde or other toxins.
  • After use, the ReadyShelter panels can be reused or easily ground into a mulch–like substance that can be recycled or disposed of with no harm to the environment
  • Sixty million acres of wheat are grown each year in the United States according to the National Research Defense Council and, after harvesting the wheat grain the byproduct straw is an environmental disposal problem (12 million tons per year).  Current practices consist of air burning wheat straw which creates severe air quality problems.  Utilizing the strawboard panels in both the permanent and temporary housing market would significantly reduce this problem.
  • According to experts it takes about 18 acres of wheat straw (replaceable ever year) to build a 1760 sq. ft. house.  It takes the equivalent of 1 acre of clear cut forest (replaceable every 30 years) to build the same house.  And although it has been in use for temporary and permanent housing in over 20 countries for more than 50 years, strawboard housing has only recently been introduced in the United States and CRN, the fexclusive dealer of the ReadyShelter, is the first to offer this innovative environmental housing technology in the United States.
